    One of our own – Roland Malins-Smith is to be one of three Honorees of the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation Gala in October in New York. Along with Michael Bayley of Royal Caribbean (recent Honoree of our Seafarers’ House Golden Compass) and Rick Murrell of Tropical Shipping, Roland is being recognized for his considerable contributions to advancing the maritime industry here at Port Everglades and throughout the Caribbean. Indeed, all three very worthy recipients have given a lifetime of service as visionaries and mentors to strengthening Caribbean maritime development – always with an eye toward preparing the industry for the future. We are so very proud our longtime Port Everglades Association member, Roland Malins-Smith, is being honored at this prestigious event by an organization that does SO much to help SO many people.
