Jumpstart PEA’s new year Jan. 10
with ‘Powerful Connections’ lunch
          Port Everglades Association plans to jumpstart the new year with a “Powerful Connections” luncheon Friday, Jan. 10, at Lauderdale Yacht Club, featuring presentations from officials of Florida Power & Light Co. and Broward County Transit.
            FPL Vice President of Finance Scott Bores looks to share updates on efforts to bring electrical shore power to Port Everglades cruise ship berths, plus the latest on the company’s $1.2 billion Port Everglades Next Generation Clean Energy Center and other forward-focused initiatives.
            Broward County Transit CEO/General Manager Coree Cuff Lonergan is slated to discuss progress of the county’s 15-year plan to add 200 miles of premium transit services, as well as the transformative South Florida Coastal Link commuter rail project, as the agency advances its “Just Try It” campaign.
          Port Everglades CEO and Port Director, Joe Morris, is to offer a special start-of-the-year brief overview.
            And, of course, PEA events always foster powerful connections among members of our Port Everglades business community.
