Florida's Premier Port Business organization promoting the growth of Port Everglades Since 1979
PEA serves as a bridge between public and private interests to facilitate the Port's achievement of its rightful place as a leader in the ranks of America's port ocean commerce.
The Port Everglades Association is privileged to welcome Kurt Nagle, longtime president and chief executive officer of the hemisphere-wide American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA), to join Steve Cernak, Port Everglades’ chief executive and port director and 2017-18 AAPA chairman of the board, for the Friday, Jan. 5, PEA luncheon program. Mr. Nagle has over 30 years of experience in Washington, D.C. related to seaports and international trade. Mr. Nagle and Mr. Cernak will offer presentations on what may be expected throughout the maritime industry as a whole and right here at Port Everglades. Mr. Nagle will provide a perspective on relevant legislative and regulatory issues with which AAPA is actively engaged in Washington, from tax reform impacts to funding for seaports. Mr. Cernak will discuss Port Everglades project priorities and initiatives for the year ahead.
